Fiberglass Grating Project Information:
The city of Los Angeles required a new tunnel for the purpose of running pipes to the bottom of a lake to help fill the lake. The maintenance workers required a walking surface that was light weight enough to remove if necessary. American Grating’s 2” deep, 50% open pultruded fiberglass grating was used as it’s high strength to weigh ratio be ideal for the 60” spans. The yellow fiberglass grating walkway also stands out in the dark tunnel system.
