Fiberglass Grating Project Information:
American Rock Salt Company was building a new salt mine in Buffalo, NY and needed a walkway along various conveyors which move the rock salt from the mine to railcars and trucks where it is loaded. The fiberglass grating conveyors total 3,400 feet in length and rise nearly 80 feet above the ground. American Grating’s 1-1/2” deep, 1-1/2” square mesh molded fiberglass grating was used due to its superior corrosion resistance. Molded fiberglass grating was also used in stairway systems throughout the plant.
